Pierre “P” Thomas, the man who helped build Quality Control Music into one of hip-hop’s most influential labels, is in the ICU at a Las Vegas hospital after suffering a heart attack today (aug 21). Family members are with him as doctors determine next steps.
Quality Control Music confirmed in a statement that Thomas “is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,” and asked fans and the industry to give the family privacy during this time.
Thomas co-founded Quality Control with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013. The label launched the careers of Migos, Lil Baby, City Girls and Lil Yachty, and later expanded into sports management and film.
No further details on Thomas’s condition have been released. Fluent in BLK will continue to follow this story.
