Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell married on August 1, 2026, in Greenwich, Connecticut, roughly a year after Mitchell proposed during a summer trip following his NBA season and Jones’ sold-out tour. Every look across the weekend carried a signature. Four Black designers shaped that story. Ceremonial drama. Reception sparkle. Bridal romance. Refined finishing touches.

Ib Kamara for Off-White

The ceremony statement. Sierra Leone-born, London-raised Ibrahim “Ib” Kamara is the creative director of Off-White. He moved to London at 16 to study at Central Saint Martins, later became editor-in-chief of Dazed in 2021, and has built a fashion language that places heritage, experimentation, and sharp modern tailoring in conversation.

For the ceremony, Kamara created Coco’s off-the-shoulder Off-White gown, featuring a fitted corset bodice and a dramatic train.

Kamara is known for making clothes that feel conceptual but still personal. His work often brings a sense of cultural memory into a modern silhouette, which makes his approach especially fitting for a wedding wardrobe built around individuality and Black design.

Esé Azénabo

The reception sparkle. Canadian-Nigerian designer Esé Azénabor designed Coco’s reception dress.

Azénabor moved from Nigeria to Ontario with her family at age 10, then relocated to Dallas in 2011 for a graduate accounting program at Southern Methodist University. She studied accounting, but her relationship with fashion began much earlier. As a child, she took apart and reconstructed clothing, even remaking her father’s trousers with beading and new construction. She later began selling her designs on eBay while at university.

Her signature bridal gowns feature dramatic silhouettes, embellishment, detachable elements, and designs made for a bride who wants to command the room.

Esé Azénabor brought the superstar energy.

Charles C. Dieujuste

The rehearsal dinner and after-party pieces. Haitian designer Charles C. Dieujuste is the founder of Scorcésa, a ready-to-wear bridal collection rooted in nontraditional, heritage-inspired bridal wear. Raised in Haiti in a family skilled in textiles and garment-making, he developed a deep connection to craft early in life. He later studied Fashion Marketing and Management at Berkeley College and also brings experience in finance, design, and public relations to his work.

He nearly lost everything when the 2010 Haiti earthquake destroyed his production studio, but the loss redirected him toward a renewed sense of purpose. Today, most of his designs fuse Haiti’s natural vibrancy with refined, timeless elegance. Scorcésa creates versatile bridal pieces for women who want quality, individuality, and clothing that can move beyond one occasion.

Brandon Blackwood

The finishing touch. Brandon Blackwood designed Coco’s footwear and handbags for the wedding weekend, including an open-toe romantic sandal with soft ties, barely-there straps, and a sharp 3.9-inch heel.

Blackwood has built a multimillion-dollar accessories company known for fashion-forward handbags and footwear. His designs have appeared on Hollywood stars, earned industry recognition, and repeatedly found viral momentum online. For Coco, the collaboration carried personal meaning because he had already been part of significant moments in her life.

Coco said that after one conversation, Blackwood and his team understood the assignment and executed it flawlessly. Blackwood’s footwear gave each gown a clean, confident foundation without competing with the dresses’ details.
